Who Is Teiresias In The Odyssey?

Teiresias is a blind prophet who helps Odysseus on his journey home in Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey." When Odysseus travels to the underworld to seek advice on his journey, he meets the ghost of Teiresias, who tells him how to avoid the dangers that lie ahead. Teiresias is an important figure in Greek mythology and is said to have prophesied the future of many heroes, including Oedipus.
