Locating witnesses is important because they can provide significant information or evidence about a crime that may lead to the conclusion of a case. There are many different methods to locate witnesses, but we need to find which method works better to locate persons from four different cases. The first person we need to locate is Georgette B. Good from the Rowdy Outlaw Case. Georgette B. Good could be an important witness because she was a neighbor of Bobbette Bouvier, who is the woman that was found dead in her own apartment in this case.

Good believes that the man who left Bouvier's apartment is Rowdy Outlaw because she identified that he was wearing the same costume and attire that Outlaw normally wears when he performs on stage. However, a conclusion cannot be made that Mr. Outlaw is the one who left the apartment because Good only saw the back of the person who was leaving the apartment and she did not see his face.

The second person we need to locate is Tanya Trucker from the Red Dog Saloon case.

Tanya Trucker is important to locate in this case because she was the only other person involved in the accident who can remember certain information and details about the accident. Soupspoon was knocked unconscious since the airbag on his side did not deploy. Based on the information Trucker overheard, the parking lot was dark and it can be assumed that the driver of the Ford Bronco was negligent because it was the driver's second accident that week. Soupspoon suffered from severe damages, he canceled several scheduled concert appearances, and he may not be able to play the saxophone again.

Another way is to check with different organizations to determine if they have any information about Trucker. Based on the facts, Trucker went to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her singing career and she has an unknown stage name. The third person we need to locate is the anonymous caller from the Vidalia Unyon case. The anonymous caller claimed that Mr. Unyon was having an affair with someone else without providing sufficient proof. Identifying this anonymous caller is essential to determine if she is telling the truth and if she has any evidence to support her claim because Mr. Unyon having an affair with someone else is a legitimate reason for Mrs. Unyon to file a divorce. Therefore, some methods that can be used to locate this anonymous caller are city or county directories or to find some other way to track down the location of the anonymous caller to determine whether the unknown person is providing accurate information (Parsons, 2012).

The fourth person we need to locate is the heirs of farmer Edward Dig Deep from the Rocky Road Project. Locating the heirs is important to determine who will receive the property that Farmer Deep owned prior to his death. One way to locate the heirs are to check with friends, relatives, or other people who may know Farmer Deep. These people may have some information about who is entitled to receive Deep's property.
