Categories: Novel

Little Women is a novel by American author Louisa May Alcott.Awesome kind book for girls and adult women. Romantic and educative, about morality, generosity and wisdom. Yes, just about all the important female qualities.

The story of the growing up of four dissimilar sisters. The Civil War is raging somewhere, but the problems that girls face are more relevant than ever: first love, bitter disappointment, painful separation, and difficult searches for yourself and your place in life.

The story follows the lives of the four March sisters – Meg the eldest sister, is 16 when the story starts.

Infused with quiet wisdom, she is the peacemaker of the family and gently scolds her sisters when they argue.Amy March is the youngest sister and baby of the family, aged 12 when the story begins. She is the artist of the family.Often coddled because she is the youngest, Amy can behave in a vain and self-centered way.

The story is focused on these four girls.Amy trades limes and her mother pulls her out of school because her teacher hit her.Beth receives a piano from Mr Laurence. Jo won’t let Amy go to the theatre with her so Amy burns Jo’s manuscript. Amy then falls into a lake while ice-skating, and Jo and her put away their fighting. They then find out that their father gets sick, so their mother has to leave the house to take care of him, leaving the girls alone and having to take care and support themselves. Beth, while visiting a family like her other sisters were supposed to, contracts scarlet fever and gets deathly ill until their mother returns and she recovers, though not completely. Meg gets engaged to Laurie’s tutor. Three years later in Part 2, their father is home, and Meg is gets a novel published. Beth moves to New York there she meeting Professor Bhaer and getting help on writing in the process. When Jo returns, Laurie proposes to her, and she turns him down. The saddest part was when Beth died.Laurie then meets Amy in France and fall in love, and they marry. My favorite part is when Professor Bhaer proposes to Jo and they marry .

In my opinion ' Little Women ' was awarded with kind, generous, sincere and bright characters. Neighbor and friend of the sisters Lori - perfectly dilutes the ladies atmosphere and brings a touch of fun to their usual way of life. A classic British literature story with beautiful love lines, just made for reading cozy and cool in the evenings in front of the fireplace, I have a neutral attitude towards open finals, but here it is appropriate, since it allows you to activate your imagination and add to your development the stories described in the book. I especially liked the language of writing. Due to the large number of situations described in the novel, we can observe constant dynamics. In my humble opinion, this work should be included in school literature. It is correct in every sense of the word People who want to become writers, critics, publishers or journalists must read. For literature this is a treasure that should be the canon of how the author should write, how to represent characters and develop plot. I recommend girls and women of all ages.
