The stories in Dubliners are based on the lives of everyday people in Dublin, Ireland. The book is divided into four sections, each containing five stories. The first section, “The Sisters,” is about death and grief. The second section, “An Encounter,” is about childhood and innocence. The third section, “Araby,” is about young love and disillusionment. The fourth section, “Eveline,” is about the choices we make in life and the consequences of those choices.
