Lionel Messi, was born on June 24th in Rosario, Argentina. He is the third of four children birthed by Celia Maria Cuccittini (mother) and Jorge Messi (father); Messi is Spaniard paternally and also Italian maternally.

He showed early interest in football by playing alongside his brother Mathias and his cousin Emmanuel Biancuchi who is now a professional footballer player.

We cannot talk Lionel Messi’s success story without mentioning his grandma Celia Olivera Cuccittini because she was the first person who saw the temperament of a football star on his body, when Messi was barely 4 years old.

She was the only person then, who wanted to see Messi become a football player. To this end, she took her grandson to his first football training course at Grandoli local football club and she always told him, ‘’ONE DAY, YOU WILL BE THE BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD’’.
