As agriculture plays a vital role in the Filipino way of life, the need for effective and affordable fertilizers has become increasingly important. In a country surrounded by vast bodies of water and fertile land, exploring the potential of seaweed and sugar as fertilizers could revolutionize farming practices and lead to more sustainable crop yields.
The primary objective of this study is to determine whether Lato (Caulerpa lentillifera) can be utilized as a fertilizer for plants.
Additionally, we aim to compare the effectiveness of sugar-enhanced lato fertilizers with traditional fertilizers in promoting plant growth.
Lastly, we seek to investigate whether lato seaweed and sugar can work synergistically to create a high-yielding crop fertilizer.
It is hypothesized that Lato can serve as an effective plant fertilizer. Moreover, sugar can enhance the performance of lato fertilizers in promoting plant growth. Lastly, lato seaweed and sugar can complement each other in creating a fertilizer that boosts crop yields.
For generations, farming has been ingrained in the Filipino culture, with both land and sea resources playing a crucial role in agricultural practices.
This study holds significance as it aims to provide Filipino farmers with affordable and accessible fertilizers that can lead to bountiful harvests.
By exploring the potential of lato seaweed and sugar as fertilizers, we hope to contribute to the development of sustainable farming methods that benefit both farmers and the environment.
