I am a recent graduate of the University of Rajshahi, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Throughout my undergraduate years, I demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, securing the top position in my class of ninety-four students. This achievement reflects my dedication to maintaining consistently high performance in my studies.
During my undergraduate journey, I actively engaged in various extracurricular activities that complemented my academic pursuits. Notably, I completed an internship at the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), gaining valuable real-world experience.

While reflecting on my journey, I cannot ignore the pressing issue of English language education in Bangladesh. My homeland faces a shortage of skilled English language professionals in educational institutions, leaving many high school, college, and university students misguided by unskilled English teachers.
This deficiency in English language proficiency results in students facing numerous challenges in the job market and higher education.
I, too, encountered these challenges during my undergraduate years. The lack of competent English teachers during my high school years hindered my ability to acquire proper language skills. It became evident when I prepared for the TOEFL test during my undergraduate studies. My realization of my weakness in English prompted me to seek a solution.
Recognizing the critical role of English proficiency in today's corporate sector, especially in the international market, I decided to embark on a journey to strengthen my language skills. I firmly believe that in this era of fierce competition, a command of the English language is indispensable. Proficiency in English allows individuals to grasp the needs, wants, and demands of overseas consumers, paving the way for success in international business.
With this understanding, I have set my sights on higher studies in English as a Second Language. I am determined to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in English as a Second Language, a program that I believe will equip me with the theoretical and practical knowledge required to teach second language learners effectively. Furthermore, it will empower me to formulate policies in the field of higher education administration.
My ultimate goal, after completing the Master of Arts (MA) in English as a Second Language program, is to further my academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. program. This advanced research endeavor will enable me to gain specialized knowledge in English, contributing to my personal growth and expertise in the field.
Upon successfully earning my Ph.D., I am driven to return to my homeland, Bangladesh, and take on the role of a university teacher. I aspire to establish higher education programs specializing in English as a Second Language at my undergraduate alma mater, where I once faced challenges due to the inadequate English language education. This vision has been my childhood dream—to become a university teacher and make a meaningful impact on the education system in my country.
After extensive research and consideration, I have chosen the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) as the institution where I wish to pursue my Master of Arts (MA) in English as a Second Language. UTRGV boasts an outstanding reputation for its internationally recognized and respected MA program in this field.
