The Movie “ A Raisin in the Sun “ is filmed on the Southside of Chicago it’s a realistic fiction. It’s basically about a poor black African American family who is trying to live their American dream. Each member have different dreams Walter Lee who is the husband of Ruth have his dream on doing a business he wants to invest into a liquor store. Ruth who is Walter Lee wife have something else in mind Ruth wants to move out the projects into a better place so does Lenea who is Walter mother.

Beneatha who is really the character who doesn’t want nothing just want to go to school so she can become a doctor.

Based on the introduction everybody have their mind set on a different goal. Everybody want to do what they believe is best for them, but the family doesn’t have any money Walter has a job but isn’t earning enough. The other members in the movie doesn’t have a job so there isn’t enough money flowing.

So the family is depending on a check that they are getting because of Lenea husband passed away. They are hoping that this check can be they path that lead them to what they are dreaming.

Once they got the check everybody was losing their mind. Ruth and Walter been arguing in the movie because both of them had different dreams and decisions they wasn’t on the same page. Beneatha felt like Walter dream was a waste of time and stupid.

Lenea wanted the same thing Ruth wanted so everybody was just acting crazy because everybody didn’t want the same thing the other person wanted so everybody was falling apart. Lenea then takes matter into her on hands she do what was right for the family.

A Raisin in the Sun American Dream wasn’t what they wanted some people took risky decisions some people made dumb decisions. But Lenea she did what she thought was best for the family it was to move into a better home so that people can feel like there starting a new life. She wanted to make everybody life positive because the family was already in a dark mood like it wasn’t no more life in them.

A poor American family who had nothing but once money came in their life it was like a little motivation that they got thinking they can get whatever they want but money was like a bad thing that happen. It was making everybody crazy and everybody was arguing with each other because they already didn’t have much so everybody true identity came out about how they really feel when they didn’t have nothing but once everything was getting out of control they came to their senses and saw the family falling apart they unity and saw that they couldn’t get nothing done without sticking together as a family so everybody start making things up It made them a survival family.
