A False Witness, One Who Speaks Lies, and One Who Sows Discord Among Brothers

I have been challenged to defend my lack of support for Donald Trump using the Scriptures as my justification. When I think of Donald Trump, I find his behavior to be most egregious with respect to the following tenets. “These six things doth the Lord hate:…A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth… Ephesians 4:25. Isaiah 57:15…I dwell…with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit…” Leviticus 19:34 “ But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself…”

Leviticus 25:35 “And if thy brother be waxen poor…then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger.

Conversely, there is a place for judgment, Luke 7:24 “judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” I fail every day at living as I should and I try with God’s grace to honor my principles so I am far from perfect. My issues with the President are chiefly the lies and discord and the hate he preaches. When he mocks a disabled person or desires to deprive children of food and education, or degrades women, or targets immigrants, or speaks of “chocolate cake” while bombs fall, this does exemplify how any one, especially the President should live, in my opinion. When he abuses anyone in word or deed, this is against everything that I understand to be moral and holy for we are ALL made in the image of God “…Let us make man in our image.
