“A giant wind blew from heaven and clouds driven by Zeus shrouded night land and see in a night of the storm.” (Homer 830-833) The ship is being dragged to cover in a grotto, a sea cave. Poseidon is the god of the sea he doesn't want Odysseus to return home because he blinded his son Polyphemus. Odysseus could have so many thoughts and is pretty worried. ‘O father Zeus and gods in bliss forever you made sleep away this day of mischief.” Homer (899-900) Odyusses has survived the storm although the other men didn't. Odysseus now has to go through the rest of the Journey by themself and that takes a lot of courage.

In the story “The Odyssey” Odysseus has many magical beginnings and can get out of the situation and survive. One of which is the Cyclops named Polyphemus. When Odysseus and his men have his next stop which is a land with the cyclops on it. Odysseus was just curious about how it appeared to be a cyclops. “A prodigious man slept in his cave alone.”Homer (128-130) Odyuess tells his twelve best fighters to come along as for the other men to watch over the ship as Odyesses told the men Polyphemus had woken up. Polyphemus goes outside and picks up men throws them around like they’re nothing and eats them all in one bite, when Polyphemus came back he had dry boughs on his shoulder he dumps them with a great crash into that hollow cave. Odysseus has to come up with a plan to get out of this cave before any of his other men die, he has to think of this plan fast. “Cyclops try some wine solid silver here the liquor to wash down your scraps of me.” Homer (297-299) The cyclops pours down bowls of wine after he spits out fuddle and flush from the men he grows up and falls on the floor he is dizzy because he is drunk that is Odysseus' goal. Sooner or later Odyusses thinks of another brilliant idea he gets one of the Dry boughs the cyclops brought in earlier and creates a fire. “I drew it from the coal and my four fellows gave me a hand, lugging near the cyclops.” Homer (325-330) The men rammed it deep in the crater of his eye. As soon as possible the men try to run out but there is no way they can beat the cyclops, there are some sheep “So three sheep can convey each man.”Homer (380-381) “I took the wooliest ram and hung myself b under his kinky belly, puller uptight with my finger twisted deep in the sheepskin ringlets for an iron grip.” Homer (381-385) Polytheism asks what is Odysseus name he responds and says “My name is “Nobody”: mother, father, friends call me “Nohbdy” Homer (315-317)The reason Odysseus decides to do this is that when some of the other cyclops heard him cry so to score in the starry night. “Nobody”, “Nobody's” tricked me, “Nohdys” ruined me.” Homer (317-320)Odysseus was the one to get him and his men into this mess and he was the one able to get them out.

“The hero's Test”. Once Odyuess arrives home after his twenty-year journey Athena turns them beautiful from head to toe, “She made them taller, and massive, too, with crisping hair in curls like petals of wild hyacinth but all red-golden”.Homer (1543-1545) Athena did this because “whose work moves to delight” Homer (1545-1547) Odyueses worked hard to get home and claim his throne back and have his castle. So Penelope decided to give back to them because of his hard work. “Make up his bed for him, Eurycleia”. Homer (1565-1566) “Place it outside the bedchamber lord built with his own hands”) Homer (1567-1569) people had a test for Odysseus to see if it was him because the gods are normally the ones who impuissant mortals the last test she gives him is if it were Odysseus he would comment on the bed. Penelope says Oduesss should not sleep with her to sleep outside. “Odysseus son turned on flash raging”. Homer (1570-1571) “Women, by heaven you’ve stung me now!” Homer (1572-1575) “There are our pact and pledge- my handiwork and no one else!” Homer (1577-1580) Odysseus is pretty upset at this point, he made the bed with Penelope and put all his effort into it when they first moved in and know people make Odyuess sleep outside by himself. No way Odyuess is going to say yes to that. “ There's our sign I know no more.” Homer (1590-1593) Penelope and Odyuess could know finally be peaceful with each other after thirty years of being apart. Odysseus was put to the test multiple times, for example, People's second test to determine if it was Odysseus was to retrieve the bow, Penelope stated that she “I will marry the man who strings it and makes a perfect shot” Homer “The challenge” There are three test people gives hem. In the first test, she asked about Odysseus' travels, family, and personality. In addition to his “The Hero's Test” Odyuess overcomes his fear inside the underworld to talk to Teiresias the blind Theban prophet and one of his crewmates who fell off Circe's roof. Odysseus' test where a struggle to get through even though Odysseus concords it like a god.
