However, terrorists can also target people based on their religion or race – for example, during the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939, Franco's fascist forces murdered thousands of Republicans who were men, women and children. They killed anyone who wasn't in his group – Christians or Jews could live but only if they were supporters of Franco.

But it can also be motivated by extreme nationalism or racism—for example, Timothy McVeigh wanted America to become an all-white nation where only white people could vote and own property; he thought this was the best way for Americans who share his ethnic background (Caucasian) to prosper economically and socially without being oppressed by immigrants from other countries who aren't Caucasian.

Terrorism is a crime against all humanity. Why? Because it causes death and destruction to innocent people, who are living their lives as they please.
