There are three types of learning styles which are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Based on their individual differences, different students use different learning styles for their learning. Individuals understand, organize, and analyze different ways of learning. Knowing the importance of understanding learning styles can help or develop the individual in study and learning skills. Learning skills are an attribute or a gift that had being bless upon you. It is never a wish or selection. Learning skills are ways that you can learn in a familiar or comfortable way.

Each learning skills have their own preference in learning something. for example, auditory prefer to learn through talking and listening, while visual learning something through pictures and diagrams or creative coloring and kinesthetic gain something through experiences countless testing. All these learning skills have their own strengths and weakness. As said by Aristotle. Nothing is perfect in life. So we need to get used to it and strive to improve our weaknesses.

Three Types of Learning Styles

Visual

People with visual learning usually like to take notes. They have greater immediate recall of words that are presented visually. They can be distracted by visual disorder or movement. They solve problems deliberately, planning in advance, and organizing their thoughts by writing them down. Visual learners would prefer reading, observing, and the display of diagrams and slides. Visual students would rather learn by watching movies, film strips, pictures, and graphs that help integrate the subject. When taking a test, a visual learner would do better on the test if the test had visual diagrams.

When they give instruction with visual aids will perform better than showing appropriate materials. The teaching strategies used for visual learners could include demonstrations, pictures, graphs, and videos. The advantage of Visual learners comparing to other skill learners most visual learners has drive motivation comparing to other learners. Most of the students struggle with some of the subjects because they will find it uninteresting or boring and hence lacking the motivation to study or putting effort into it. Visuals are awesome and good in such a scenario. creating their own image in their mind, searching and watching more videos, creating cool graphics, and helping other learners to fight boredom with their creativity and arts in learning.

Auditory

Auditory is one type of learning skill that needs people to use their ears to hear something because they learn through listening. An auditory learner depends on listening and speaking as the main way of learning. They also use their listening and repeating skills to sort through the information that is sent to them. This type of person needs to use a lot of material that related to their listening skill, they need to listen to a lot of music, Auditory learning is a learning style in which a person learns through listening. They also use their listening and repeating skills to sort through the information that is sent to them by what they listen to. So that they have to hear something to improve their study and were make their study became easier. The advantage of auditory learning comparing to other learning skills is that they have better-memorizing skills. Visual and read learners may have a good understanding of important information. But as some might say, " go in one ear and out in the other. They still need to read the information back to back while the auditory learners are good at holding or remember what they have heard. This can be extremely useful if you're trying to learn while doing other stuff or tasks. As talking to many or a lot of people in an event or party or trying to create something by listening to the auditory instructions. The only disadvantage of auditory learners is when the source of the material is written material besides that it is all good to go.

Kinesthetic

Kinesthetic is relating to a person's awareness of the position and movement of the parts of the body by means of sensory organs (proprioceptors) in the muscles and joints. This kind of person needs a lot of movement while study. They cannot seat in one place for a long time because they can’t give concentrate while study or the lecture begins. This type of learning skill has to move somewhere and need to explore something outside the classes. kinesthetic need to have a movement such as learners to stand, bounce their legs, or doodle during lectures because by doing that it can help the kinesthetic learner to improve their studies. By doing that can give their imagination and can make them easier to understand something compare their study in one place that can’t give them move around. The advantage of kinesthetic learners is that they can gain or obtain self or own knowledge by letting them doing or learning their own comfort level. Mostly, a kinesthetic learner has a high or over exceeding confidence level due to many experiences they get themselves into comparing to other learners who are usually talented and lack the training. Kinesthetic learners often stuck themselves in positive vibes or social which can help them get the support they need to solve a problem and they are able to apply creativity through their emotions or self-expression. Short to say, kinesthetic learners must be positive, surround themselves with positive people, and need to work extra or harder comparing to other learners. Like old folks used to say that. Hard work beats talent when talent failed to work hard.

We need to know what is our learning style so that we can know our strengths. Although the majority of the learning styles that were visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. It is important that there is no right or wrong in the learning style we have. It is all matters on how we can manage and learn to use our learning skills advantages and learn how to improve our disadvantages.
