Who Is Katniss Everdeen?

Katniss Everdeen is the fictional protagonist of Suzanne Collins' critically acclaimed young adult dystopian trilogy, The Hunger Games. The series consists of three books: "The Hunger Games," "Catching Fire," and "Mockingjay." Set in a post-apocalyptic future, Katniss is a young woman living in Panem, a nation divided into 12 districts ruled by the oppressive Capitol.
