This model suggests that psycho-social facilitator may modify the enormity of the association between peer pressure and student’ health-risk behavior, such that the presence of a facilitator may raise or lessen the effects of peers’ behavior

Second, I hypothesized an additive model of collective health-risk of student behavior. Although this model similarly tells us about increased risk, the additive model represents a notably different approaches and findings that can be updated, the involvement works in different methods, Specifically, while the multiplicative model issue information on factors that change the strength of the association between peer pressure and adolescents’ risk behavior, the supplemented approach produces information on the added power to identify risky adolescents based on the combined effects of multiple risk factors in addition to peer behaviors. This model focuses on the aggregation of risk factors, rather than psychological consequences of simultaneous risk factors

Third risk factors models are the utility of the same risk models across different health taking risk outcomes to determine whether models predict specific negative or positive outcomes and general risk behaviors. First among these risk factors was family intervention [1]

Prior research on student’ substance use has frequently examined main effects of family functioning, or the relative contributions of family and peer pressure that are motive to engage in health taking behavior. Multiple aspects of school, government functioning have been explored, such as school leader’ substance use providing support for a linkage between each domain of school functioning and adolescents’ substance use [1].

Last, the hypothesized models also considered the role of depression symptoms. At a unit-variate level, depression and negative affect have been linked to smoking, sex behavior, and heavy alcohol use. I expected that adolescents’ depressive symptoms would similarly moderate the association between peers’ and adolescents’ substance use, violent behaviors, and suicide and also contribute to a cumulative risk factor model.

Significance of the Study

This research would be significant for the Parents, Teachers, College Administrators and Guidance Bureau.

For Parents

In most of the instances it is considered that adolescent get accumulated from their parents due to the fact of the self-understanding, peer pressure or some different troubles which they hesitate to sit down and talk about with closer relatives about their children’s future health in terms of psychological factors engagement in substance use such as smoking, consuming alcohol, sex behavior that lead to unhealth feedback. In that case, students are that conditional existence where the parental advice is most required a meaningful key protector. Parents should also take some duty to motivate their teens to report any such incident at once so that they can take up the problem with the administration and stop any tragic untoward outcome.

they also should guide their words to abstain from ragging. Parents and adolescents can be interrelated in trouble resolving in sustaining psychological characteristics that can push them in unconsciousness engagement habits such feeling of smoking, drinking. As the students who have faced the terrible consequences such as expelled out of the school because of peer pressure and ragging may take their vulnerable youngsters towards the control proper and definitely protected path.

Generating confidence in college students is very essential as teens low on self-confidence and robust emotional energy are more susceptible to give in to Peer Pressure. By guiding adolescent in a friendly way, parents can pave the course of their progress. Parents can openly communicate, involve with their children’s lives and educate their adolescents tools for coping with negative peer pressure and ragging will have the high-quality chance of protecting adolescents from the negative effects of surrendering

For College Administrators

This study will stress that Ragging in any structure to be condemned and schools should be the place where college students feel comfortable control that offers happiness and conducive learning. The college administrators don’t have to put extra pressure on college students in order to keep away from unplanned negative engagement decision making, automatic aggression. The legal guidelines have to be stringently applied and colleges have to be protected places, physically and emotionally.

Just putting a complaint field somewhere close to the principal's office is no longer going to work. No fresher has the courage to approach the criticism field and identify a specific senior Periodic check by flying squads will do the trick. A policy of 'Zero Tolerance' on ragging is crucial in Educational Institutes. All college students want to have a Ragging Free document and also crime free documents as including no drug habits, no gang wars as a prerequisite for completing their educational qualifications, for awards and for contesting college elections etc.

the provision for obligatory attendance and normal evaluation should be there. two Colleges want to discuss to students and provide them an opportunity to think. We want them to weigh whether what they are doing is rational. There desires to be a complete attention program.

For Guidance Bureau

Guidance employees have the special duty of promoting the development of community initiatives for the prevention of bullying, pressure and related social issues like ragging and suicide. Counselors want to be aware of the physical and psycho-social symptoms related with ragging and negative consequences of Peer Pressure so that they can display the children concerned and supply the assist wanted to improve healthy relationship between parents and children, seniors and juniors and teachers and students.

For Teachers

Several times, students give in to peer pressure than resisting it, simply because it seems like the easy way out. They also bear the acts of ragging uncomplaining although sometimes these situations become intolerable. This study will make the teachers aware that how difficult the situation becomes for the youngsters that are unable to cope up with the pressure of peer group and ragging.

So the teachers should held curriculum activities like debate, drama and role play so that the students could have their strong individual decision while resisting the pressure of the peer group and ragging. Teachers must present various scenarios to students, where they have to deal with peer pressure and other problems, and their natural response to it, will help teacher to identify their problem areas, and will enable a teacher to deal with it in the required manner.
