Phedre is a young woman who has been cursed with a dangerous desire: she is irresistibly drawn to those who are doomed to die. As a result, she has always lived in fear of her own dark nature.
One day, Phedre meets a handsome young man named Joscelin, who is also cursed. Joscelin is a skilled warrior and Phedre is immediately drawn to him. Despite her better judgment, she agrees to help Joscelin on a quest to save his sister from a fate worse than death.
