In the second book of the series, Lewis continues the story of Ransom, the protagonist of the first novel. This time Ransom is sent to the planet Perelandra, or Venus, in order to save it from the evil influence of the Un-man, or the Devil. As in the first book, Ransom must overcome many challenges and trials in order to save the planet and its inhabitants. The novel ends with Ransom’s victory over the Un-man and the consequent salvation of Perelandra.
