Penelope is the faithful wife of Odysseus in Homer’s epic poem, the Odyssey. She cleverly delays her suitors by weaving and unraveling a shroud for her father-in-law, masking her true intentions until Odysseus finally reveals his identity.

Telemachus

Telemachus is the son of Odysseus in Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. He is a young man who, at the beginning of the story, is living with his mother Penelope while his father is off fighting in the Trojan War. Telemachus is initially unsure of himself and skeptical of his father’s legendary exploits, but over the course of the story he grows into a courageous and capable warrior, helping his father to defeat the suitors who have taken over their household and attempting to restore order to his father’s kingdom.
