Ecotopia is a novel by Ernest Callenbach that was first published in 1975. The novel is set in the year 1999, in a country called Ecotopia which is located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The novel follows the experiences of an American journalist named Will Weston, who is sent to Ecotopia to report on the society there.
Ecotopia is a utopia in which the citizens live in harmony with nature. They have developed environmentally sustainable practices, such as using solar power and recycling. They also value relationships and community over individualism.
