Alex DeLarge is the main protagonist of Anthony Burgess’s novel A Clockwork Orange. He is a highly intelligent and sadistic young man who leads a small gang of teenage thugs in a dystopian society. Alex is known for his love of classical music and his penchant for violence and sexual debauchery. He is eventually apprehended and subjected to a controversial government program that attempts to cure him of his violent tendencies.
