Federer’s main achievement as a junior player was due to his performance in Wimbledon 1998 where he claimed both mens singles and mens double titles.

One of the most elegant players in mens tennis is definitely Roger Federer who plays with such style that he has only got a knee injury so far in his 30 years of tennis career. Federer lost in four sets to Novak Djokovic at the 2016 Australian Open semifinal. The next day he felt pain in his Knee and had to go through arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus on his left knee. He was scared upon the operation and wasn’t sure about the rest of his tennis career, but when he woke up he realised he has movement in his leg again, he slowly built his leg strength from crutches to walking to running to jumping to sprinting and to eventually tennis. From here he made a comeback in 2017 grabbing the Australian Open, Wimbledon(grand slam) and also obtaining the No.1 ranking.

Philanthropy:

In 2003, Roger Federer established the Roger Federer Foundation that support education and is centred in Switzerland and regions of South Africa. The foundation allows the children to access resources that prompt education and extra curricular activities for those affected by poverty.
