Goddess of Sierra 2 the hearth, Hestia was worshipped for many reasons. For this specific purpose I choose Hestia because she is one of the three virgin goddesses but she takes a deeper part in the family.

ARCHETYPE

Together with, an archetype is a very typical example of a certain person or thing. A simple but defined character archetype of the goddess Hestia would be hero. A hero typically saves someone and a specific part that the world needs help in. Although, Hestia’s character did more over that, “Public and private worship of Hestia were widespread. She represented communal security and personal happiness. Because Hestia remained a virgin, it follows that she had no children . Hestia was a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements and noble qualities. She was admired for being able to keep a semi divine origin, in particular one whose exploits were the subject of ancient Greek myths. Hestia was also described for being a mentor. A mentor in part of heroes with motivation, inspiration, guidance, training, and gifts for the journey. She gave information that came in handy later. Being able to seem inspired by divine wisdom; they are the voice of a god. After all she was a gift that stayed behind being a virgin and kept her promise. That's what made her so special, she was gifted with a promise that never haunted her in a bad way but made her see the world different. For that reason, she became such a model for those that look up to her as a commitment figure. In the light of her myth an original model or pattern from which other later copies are made, especially of Hestia, her actions and situation that seems to represent common patterns of human life gave the Sierra 3 idea of a journey archetype. The stages included, “One of the kinds of cool things about her is that she was the first AND the last born of Cronos. There she is described as a queenly maid whom both Poseidon and Apollo sought to wed. Hestia had no problem keeping her promise to stay a virgin. Zeus understood her actions and was very grateful, so grateful that he awarded her the first victim of every public sacrifice for keeping the peace on Olympus” (Ailia Thena). Her journey began once she was born and reborn again. Her path gives each person that believed in her that she had a purpose to be here and help to be a profound person on this earth placed.

SYMBOLS

Coupled with, symbols is a term used to describe universal symbols that evoke deep and sometimes unconscious responses in a reader. In literature, characters, images, and themes that symbolically embody universal meanings and basic human experiences, regardless of when or where they live, are considered archetypes. The symbolic archetype surrounding Hestia’s power of hearth fire of following Greeks beliefs and Mount Olympus. This symbol creates a supernatural intervention because she has the ability to define religious events in Greek Mythology. As mentioned, “This fire was important because it was used for cooking and for keeping the home warm. Hestia also helped to keep peace in the family and taught people how to build their homes”. Creating and maintaining fire was both hard and crucial for those more primitive societies. This made households fire a sacred element that every birth had to be followed known by a very early stage of history. In later days, Hestia became its embodiment (Ancient Greek Mythology Hestia). By the same token, it became part of history for the Greek Mythology. Producing a believed to be present at any offering fire at all fire temples, so she truly Sierra 4 was a national deity in Greece. With the richest portion of the household she was the one holding all homes together and gifting a natural event of being warm and happy. Every breath was given to her to gift and shape. Everyone living depended on her strength of giving but also receiving a well life. Her image was wearing a veil and holding a flowered branch. The flowered branch symbolizes a true meaning, her being a goddess of home and hearth. Home that she once created and takes care of. It speaks the true attribute of of Hestia. A demonstration of that displays intimacy toward other gods around her. Above or below her level she never defined herself to be better. The flowers represent heaven but hell at the same time. Heaven projecting a world full of hope and a warm home. Hell as of the fire that once can hurt a human living and god if it were to not be used as it should be.
