Taking risks have many beneficial aspects, including various rewards, valuable life lessons, and even developing some skills.
Rewards the the ultimate and probably most compelling reason why people take risks. One of the biggest rewards is just the success that comes with taking that chance. Getting what we want in the end leaves people satisfied, just as long as it does not backfire in your face, leaving a terrible aftermath. Often times, risk taking leads to materialistic rewards. Who does not feel happy to receive money or any other gift? Lastly, lets not forget the pure joy you feel when someone is happy for you. Many people not only risk things for their own benefit, but for others too, and it is always nice that someone is happy and proud of you. Not only are there rewards, but valuable lessons along the way as well.
You learn things with just about everything you do, risks are just one of the biggest ways to do so. With taking risks, no matter if your status is failing or succeeding, you will always learn something out of it. It does not matter if it is a small lesson or a giant one, you will learn something. Most lessons are learned out of failure. Sure it will devastate you, but just as Thomas Edison said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Even when you succeed, there is something that you have picked up along the way. With succeeding, you will learn the technique on how to get the best possible outcome, or even other things. Let’s also not forget about some skills you will develop.
Taking risks could change you either a little, or a lot. Confidence is probably the biggest skill you could attain. You will not only be confident in what you do, but yourself as well. Another affable trait you could get is resilience. This usually comes with failure, but you will better know how to not be brought down by it, although it is okay for you to feel a little poignant. One more possible trait you acquire could be bravery. No longer will you be afraid or even dwell on what comes in front of you. All of these traits could, and will, make you a better person.
Despite many people feeling intimidated by risk taking, you should consider all of the benefits taking one will give you. Prizes are absolutely wonderful to have. All the knowledge and wisdom you achieve will help you along with life. Every good characteristic you earn whilst risk taking makes you better. Next time that there is an achievable risk to take, go for it!
