The young lady alleged he hit her and left her barely conscious with bruises on her face and heavy bleeding from her mouth. The police got the recorded video which showed Mixon was guilty of the charge filed against him. Mixon made a plea and was handed a one – year deffered sentence which comprises of some hours of community service and mandatory behavior counseling. This charge against him came in his first season playing for the sooners football team of University of Oklahoma. He later apologized to Amelia, his family, coach and team mates for his behavior saying he has grown up and is more in control of his anger.
