We empower patients to express what values to them and most importantly time for the staff to listen. Compassion, as defined, sympathizes with their patients and consider the individual\'s desires, needs and fears consistently and used as an aid in distinguishing the particular caring practices that a nurse takes part in when considering a patient (Roach,2002). Also, compassion is about treating patients with dignity and respects through your information, abilities and actions.

One example of being compassionate is when the patient is feeling vulnerable in physical or psychological illness or when a patient is feeling worried, nurses ask them if something or anything concerned about these shows compassion. Compassion is not only communicating to the patient it is also securing them safely in a nice and clean surrounding.

Enabling patients to communicate their sentiments will determine whereby they adjust to sickness and succeeding lifestyle modifications.
