Arguing on Modern Education System

Education is one of most important thing which considered as a most basic requirement after three basic human needs; air, water, and food.. and because of that nowadays mostly in usa most people are educated. But a retired New york teacher who is awarded with "Best teacher of the year (1989-1991) Ghatto questions what we learn in high school really helps students? Or Is it just a waste of time?

In his essay Ghatto talks about his 30 years experience of teaching students in manhattan.

He asks his students one question that"why they felt so bored in certain classes? Students answers that it is teachers fault and he asks the same question to teachers and they blames on student that students don't learn properly. In my opinion I'm taking students side because I believe that If teachers teaches their lessons in the easy way or fun way class cannot seems to be bored. But as Ghatto points out his grandpa's thought that"if you were bored it's your fault no one else's".

I m also agreed with this idea as example I thought in high school that my Algebra teacher was fun and her methods are easy and fun. I never felt bored to going in her class. But some of students doesn't like math so they hate her class..

Ghatto argues about teaching style and why does that makes students bored he also gives examples of people that couldn't even passed his or her high school like our 16th president Abraham Lincoln Who did not even completed his secondary school's education.

Thomas Alva Edison who invented light bulb He wasn't even educated . Ghatto gives this great man's examples because he wants to prove that If education is not helping our future why do we waste time maybe chase your dream or live your life as you want.

In his essay Ghetto also tells about most important 3 rules that school claim to be it is:

2. To make good citizen
3. To make each person his or her best.

This are some of the most common thoughts or mottos about school we hear. Ghatto is not against school he is also was a teacher he is arguing about some of the rules and regulations that schools have that doesnt gives a student or a teacher to express their thoughts needs to change. He also compares Classroom or school "a cell block style student -teacher virtual factory "because even teachers or students aren't happy with going school.

Ghatto tells that we couldn't even manage our educated society of man and women he said that let them figure out their own i think he said that because of maybe people are understanding about what is real education what should we learn that can help ourselves
