Estella marries Drummle for several reasons, most of which revolve around her upbringing and the emotional trauma she has experienced as a result of her relationship with Pip. Although Drummle is not particularly well-liked, he comes from a wealthy family, which makes him an attractive match for Estella.Also, by marrying into a wealthy family, Estella is able to secure her social status and ensure that she will continue to be respected within the upper echelons of society.
