Don Quixote is a story about a man who has read too many books and believes he is a knight.
Don Quixote is a Spanish novel that was first published in 1605. It's considered to be the first modern European novel, and it's one of the most important works of literature in history.
The story follows Alonso Quixano, an aging gentleman living in La Mancha, Spain. After reading too many chivalric novels about knights and their adventures, he decides to become a knight himself. He names himself Don Quixote de la Mancha and sets out on an adventure to right wrongs and defend the helpless. But his adventures are mostly just comical misadventures, as he has trouble distinguishing between reality and fiction.
In addition to being a masterpiece of literature, Don Quixote is also a social commentary on how reading can affect people's lives—and what happens when they take it too far!
