Clockwork Orange is a 1971 dystopian film adaptation of the 1962 novel of the same name by Anthony Burgess. The film follows the exploits of a young man named Alex (Malcolm McDowell). Alex is a teenage delinquent whose violent and immoral behavior leads him to be imprisoned. While in prison, he volunteers for an experimental program that will "cure" him of his violent tendencies.
The film explores many themes including violence, corruption, sex, youth culture and politics.
