Edgar

Edgar is a nobleman and the legitimate son of Gloucester in the book King Lear. He is depicted as a loyal and compassionate character who is unjustly disinherited and forced to flee his homeland. Throughout the play, Edgar disguises himself as a wandering beggar named Tom o’ Bedlam to avoid being captured by his father’s enemies.

Heathcliff

Heathcliff is a brooding and vengeful anti-hero in Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights. He is raised as a member of the Earnshaw family on the moors, but is later mistreated by them and becomes embittered. Heathcliff is infamous for his wild and erratic behavior, his love-hate relationship with Catherine Earnshaw, and his quest for revenge against those who have wronged him.

Mr. Lockwood

Mr. Lockwood is a city gentleman who rents Thrushcross Grange, a neighboring estate to Wuthering Heights. He is curious and somewhat impulsive, often making rash decisions. Despite his attempts to understand the inhabitants of Wuthering Heights, he remains an outsider to their tumultuous relationships and complex personalities.
