Closer Look at Football and Its Contemporary Challenges

Football is among the best sports in the world in my opinion. My entire life has been surrounded by football as both my papa and papa were crazy over 'Rangers Football Club'. As I matured I remember them both telling me stories of how they bet their school teams and about how numerous trophies they had won. As my papa was around 70 when he told me these fascinating stories about his younger life surrounding football a lot of facts had altered significantly ever since, I remember believing to myself "I wish football resembled it was in my papas days".

My papa once informed me that football was called "the gorgeous video game," and there was a reason behind that today me being 15 and realised the unsightly reality about football, I now going to write an essay to demonstrate why no other sport can compare to this video game! Countries across the world are gone into in a football competitors every 4 years.

This is called 'The World-Cup'. This involves 32 teams contending for the title at venues within the host country(s) over a duration of about a month; this stage is frequently called the World Cup Finals.

A credentials phase, which currently takes location over the preceding 3 years, is utilized to determine which groups get approved for the tournament together with the host nation. When South Africa was selected to host the 2010 World Cup, it was hailed as opportunity to 'offer something back' to Africa. But, as Alex Duvall Smith reports, the greatest event in the world will do little for the planet's poorest people.

Great deals of people were debating wether to have the 2010 World-Cup in South Africa due to the fact that there was a great deal of things to aspect of like such as; would individuals take a trip away over to South Africa?

Would spending remarkable amount of money on stadiums be the finest use for the nations funds? All these needed to be thought of in the past choosing where the World-Cup was going to be held. Lastly it was chosen that South Africa was now going to be the Holder of the 2010 World-Cup, and it went off in a hitch and began on 11th June up until the 11th July. Whatever went well other than from problem selling tickets, awful referee decisions and everything related to England's performance. Making all those individuals who ever questioned having the video games there in the very first location look stupid right?

No. It only took a month for the deserted stadiums to prove to be an unsustainable drain on local economies and now, Reuters reports that the biggest sporting event on Earth 'failed' to bring in the money South Africa expected! In my opinion I would never have held the 2010 World-Cup games in South Africa, as it's one of the planets poorest countries and it's quite far away. I can see the point where they were trying to bring some money into Africa but it just didn't work out and now they are left with stadiums that cost a tremendous amount of money deserted.

Back in 1958 commentator Stuart Hall was at a Manchester City game at Maine Road and came up with the phrase "the beautiful game" to describe the style Peter Doherty was playing. As he became a famous commentator he used the phrase over and over again untill it became popular. In this day in age, thousands of children aspire to be like their role models one day, such as ; Wayne Rooney, Christian Ronaldlo, Ryan Giggs and Joe Hart. And all hope to become part of the "the beautiful game". Although is it actually beautiful?

Football players have changed magerly since football was originated. In my opinion footballers are bad role models because if their not sliding in with a vicious tackle their creating mayhem. For example the amount of racism that footballers use these days. They also cannot accept defeat. Very rarely you would find players that just take a loss. There is always something to complain about. Also they do not appreciate their fans sometimes. Like when at the world cup Rooney gave out about fans booing him.

That's why in my opinion footballers are bad role models. A new survey reveals the majority of football supporters are disillusioned by the behaviour of top stars. " My favourite football player is Mario Balotelli, he plays for Italy. This crazy guy joined Italy In 2011 and has done a lot of crazy things since then like Burning his bathroom down because he set off fireworks, he gave a homeless guy $1,000 after winning $25,000 at a casino and he stopped at a local High school, used the toilet and left. These are just many of the things Balotelli has done over the past year.

I love watching him play as he plays his all and doesn't give up. He isnt the perfect role model but on the pitch he is and to mr that's all that counts. In football, mostly everything is to do with money. Without millions of money your team wouldnt be successfull,as you wouldn't be able to buy players, pay tax.... There are loads if stuff you wouldn't be able to do without 'money'? What infuriates me is the wages of footballers! There is absolutely no need for the amount of money they get especially when most of them are just scums.

This whole idea of spend more than you earn disgraced the not-so-beautiful game and epitomizes what is to become of top end football; lots of billionaires throwing excessive sums of money at people to kick a ball around a field! Manchester United and City, are just two examples of numerous supposedly big teams that demonstrate and prove that our national sport has recently developed into nothing but a farcical game, where in my eyes only a handful of teams have the rights to be properly associated with what we want to return: "the beautiful game".
