Why Business Matters to God

Categories: God

I agree with the idea that we need to remain closer to God, which is as per His expectations. There are different ways and means through which we can express our interests in remaining closer to God. To start with, staying closer to God, they can use the money that they get from the business to fund and continue with God’s work. The money that they generate should be utilized not only for their ow benefits but to glorify God’s work.

(Duzer, p.24). By supporting God’s activities and mission operations, God’s word is likely to reach more and more people.

Secondly, It is also true that the Christians should ensure that they win each soul that they come across and that is yet to know God. Thus, they can even take advantage of any business environment where they are more likely to come across many people and spread the Word to them. Since the material world matters to God as evidenced by how he carried out his creation operations, it is evident that the material world is of much concern to God, which can therefore be used to glorify him and to continue with his ministration work.

To start with, it has led to a lack of peace and harmony among human beings and this, in turn, led to aBoothewith poor relationships within the organization. The organizational ties earlier established become broken and so it requires a great sense of assurance for reinstatement of the good relationship that existed before. This has led to gossiping, jealousy, and discrimination in the organization and this leads to loss of productive time within the organization while even some employees lose motivation to perform within the organization because of the feeling of being unwanted. This, in turn, leads to a cut down on the overall performance of such an organization.

Secondly, the broken Human-Human relations in business have caused cruelty whereby the employers have become inhuman in the way they treat their employees. This has been evidenced by various situations, for example, the employees are paid poor wages which are below the sustainable wage (p.59). This means that the personhood of those employees has been violated because what they are earning is not enough to cater to their life needs. Again the employees are subjected to unsafe working conditions which range from the handling of toxic substances without training to perform sexual favoursfavorspoor relationships which which own the bosses(p.60). This puts the health and even esteem of those individuals at the lowest level. Still the privacy of the employees at the workplace is not guaranteed, there is a lot of interference by the managers even in the changing rooms there are cameras (p.61). This denies the employee their freedom and right to privacy hence making them uncomfortable.

The summary of Chapter Six: A Thought About Institutions

When people live on the earth, there was nothing. God creates Land, Water Air, etc. for us. Besides, He gives us the power to create goods to satisfy our life. When multiple rights are together, some rights will decay. God has given different people different rights to balance these rights and prevent people from greed. The structure of modern society is changing, and people are changing with change. But God has a set of rules of conduct for himself. Christians should always remind themselves that business is to serve God. At the end of chapter six, people are prosperous because of the prosperous system. God has given us this system. Maintaining this system for God to work better. Our society can continue to prosper better.

Principles of doing business and how they correspond with personal views

One of the main principles under whicthe businesses should be established is to serve. Businesses should be used to serve God and His people (p. 152). Businesses can be used to serve in different ways. Firstly, they can be used to provide goods and services that are meant to benefit the communities. Secondly, the businesses should provide people with opportunities not only to identify their identities but also to make more and more people know about God’s love in their lives (p.153). Poothe relationshipsperformingis prudent to make sure that the businesses lie on the foundation of sustainability. They should have the social responsibility of ensuring that they act within the constraints that will only benefit the society and not to its detriment. According to Chapter 5 in textbook, Considering sustainable development. To develop the economy and do business without prejudice toward the next generation. The environment is as important as the businesses themselves and as such, it should not be that the business operations are only negatively affecting the business operations. Sustainability should be a principle that needs to be upheld since sustainability shows that we are taking care of God’s creation.

The final principle on which the businesses should rest is partnership and collaboration. Since the business goals should be to attain a good end, they should support each other, collaborate and ensure that they work collaboratively, sharing resources that will support their growth. I believe that businesses should not be conducted in isolation but should be conducted in support of each other, as this is the only way through which they can meet God’s purpose as well as serve their respective communities.
