Water Lily Extract (Nymphaea Cerula) a Potential Herbicide
This study entitled “water lily extract (nymphaea cerula) a potential herbicide”, aims to kill grasses. Especially a camantigue grass that is commonly sees in our environment. This study is concerned also in making and providing newest and cheapest effective herbicide in order to help the people who cannot afford those classic and commercial herbicides. The study aims to test the potential of water lily plant as a material for making a kind of herbicide and in order to contribute the wide search for alternative and effective herbicide.
Having the cheapest and newest herbicide really brought to life the answers in killing grasses that commonly grows in our community. And these properties became a response to agricultural products. The researcher’s find this study to be timely and relevant to further develop and explore more on water lily that bear an extract that inhibit the growth of a camantigue grass and can kill it. Those bear an extract that inhibit the growth of a camantigue grass and can kill it. Instead the water lily is a floating plant it can be useful to us.
Water lily extract has a possibility of containing an extract that can be a herbicide in killing grasses, especially the camantigue grass. Camantigue grass is a common grass that grows anywhere in our community. The water lily extract has a possibility and is assumed to contain a potential liquid that may inhibit the growth of grasses. Through this herbicide that will inhibit the growth of camantigue grass, people will spend lesser money to buy commercial herbicide. The water lilies will have lesser population that will also help maintain the cleanliness of the rivers and ponds. Water lilies that are simple, as we look at them but it could be useful in our community.
One thing that water lily can be useful, is using its extract to inhibit the growth of camantigue grass. The subject that will be inhibited its growth is the camantigue grass. Camantigue grass is sighted because it is common and having lots of population anywhere and in our community.
Statement of the Problem
1.Is there any possible substance that is present in water lily extract that may inhibit the growth of camantigue grass?
2.Is water lilt extract and HERO herbicide are both effective in killing a kind of grass which is the camantigue grass? Is HERO herbicide is more effective than water lily extract?
3.Can water lily extract affect our environment by simply using it?
Significance of the Study The study aims to test the potential of water lily plant as materials for making a kind of herbicide and in order to contribute the wide search for alternative and effective herbicide. The study may serve as baseline information of local plants that were used by local folks now in killing of grasses, especially the camantigue grass. That may provide attentive source of commercial herbicide sold in the market. The feasibility of water lily extract can be a great importance in our environment. The camantigue grass has a large number of population, they have hard and strong roots.
The other way of removing it, instead of digging they can use the water lily extract that is the herbicide that can inhibit the growth of those grasses. People wanted to removed camantigue grass, they can use the water lily extract instead of commercial and classic herbicide that is sold in markets. The money will be lesser to be spent because this water lily extract as a herbicide is a cheap and effective inhibiter of the growth of a camantigue grass. The scattered floating water lilies will be removed from the lakes and ponds to maintain the cleanliness of the water. A simple plant floating can be useful, this will use as a herbicide that will kill and inhibit the growth of the camantigue grass.
Scope and Limitations This study includes the proper investigation and experimentation of the water lily extract with its capability on killing and inhibiting the growth of the grass which is the common and known camantigue grass. The extraction of the water lily and used as herbicide will undergo tests, experimentation, investigation, observation and more. This study will have more time to be consumed especially during the extraction and other observation. The study is concern in making and providing newest and effective herbicide in order to help the people who cannot afford those classic and commercial herbicides.
