Valedictorian Speech Presentation in International Bible Institute

Ladies and gentlemen, honorable guest, family, faculty/staff and fellow graduates, Good Afternoon to you all. I feel privilege, honored and humble to be standing here today, representing the great Glorious Vision International Bible Institute of Class 2013. Our hearts are filled with gratitude that you could all be here regardless of your busy schedules, to share in our celebration. I remember an uncomfortable premonition of fear that pervaded my senses during the first day of my nursing school orientation. I was exalted, ambitious and anxious.

I was ready to soak in every word the faculty had to say, overwhelmed with joy.

Suddenly here came of a professor who seemingly threatens our idealistic selves saying, “Nursing is not for the weak, it will cause you to lose part of your humanity, it will cause you to lose your contact with outside world and your common sense”. She appeared with books doubled the size of an encyclopedia; I was frozen to the spot.

With God’s help and encouragement from my family/ my pastor, I recognize that nursing paved the foundation to a meaningful development that draws love when you think you have no more to give. You see secular education assumes that human observation and interpretation are the basis of reality.

Haven experiences this institute I noticed that Christian Institute assumes that since God is the creator and sovereign of all, He alone is the interpreter of all. All things serve him and are sustained by him. I will forever cherish my experience here in the Christian Leadership class.

Christ himself modeled the skills of a leader, summarized in Matthew 20 the principle of service and suffering from the basis of the leader relationship with his subordinates. These noble graduates have completed the journey they began 15 weeks ago, and we cannot express the joy, happiness and gratitude we feel to God, our teachers, families and friends.

Thanks for your love and encouragement. Congratulation my fellow graduates I believe that each of us has not only done well, but that we have grown in knowledge, in character, in integrity and practical skills, it has taken much hard work and time to get to this point, and I admire you for it. We are thankful towards the faculty and staff who helped in educating us. I’ve always believed that teaching is the most challenging, yet rewarding profession, Pastor A as a teacher you’re made a tremendous different in the lives of your student, hope we bring out the best in you.

Thank you for living us well and leading us with all humility, boldness and compassion. Congratulations to Pastor J. O you for have given so much to the school and you have been such a visionary and caring leaders, I appreciate it. Congratulations to Elder O for your support and direction we have been honored to sit at your feet and direction we have been honored to sit at your feet and learn from each one of you. In all seriousness, we have been blessed to be part this school. I find today especially inspiring , graduate if the spirit called you here, the world did not make it easy to arrive.

You fought your way here out of conviction born of faith. Conviction it is indispensable. I challenge you graduates to be different. Take that extra step and really be a leader. Be the one person that people can look up and say that you have the love of God in your heart, show them that you are truly on fire to do well. You all know Jesus is quite unromantic and unsentimental about life, because he knows the reality of how its lived. That is why He says “whoever would be greatness among you must least of all and servant to all and whoever losses his life for my sake and the kingdom will save it for eternal life”.

Jesus will not measure your greatness and success mainly by public achievement, rather he will measure you success by your ordinary and daily in’s and out of relating with people around you. Jesus says, “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you” which is a radial command, when you stop and consider what it means. And of course, Jesus actually did these things, because only He fully and completely trusted God and emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant; only Jesus fully loved his neighbor as himself. Only Him, humbled by becoming obedient unto death, even death on a cross.

And what was the upshot of all this? Submission to God in the love and service of others is true greatness to and what the world desperately needs more than anything else is men and women with that sort of greatness. Now of course, you cannot hope to do this in your own power. This kind of greatness comes with humility and dependence upon God and because Jesus died on that cross and He gives you his holy spirit by faith, you can live that kind of greatness and success in your everyday life. Brothers/Sisters, I implore you not to build kingdom for yourself.

I beseech and encouraged you my fellow graduate to place everything your time, your money, your love, your lives in to task of making Jesus name know. Lay down your lives for others, give yourselves to the ultimate goods of others, serve them for the sake of Christ, and by so doing, live true greatness. In conclusion try not to become a man of success, but try to become a man of value remember the great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it, man cannot discover a new Ocean unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Entrust your legacy to God. Remember that it is always about Jesus Christ. Work hard knowing what you do for Him is not in vain. I’d like to thank Elder A for your generosity, thank you for your donuts and coffee. I’d like to thank the people who I’ve get to know during the course of this class. Thank you for all the laughs we shared, I’ll never forget that; most importantly thanks you for your friendship , let us keep each other in our thoughts and prayers always remember the lessons that ive learned from one another.

For a small class, we have a lot of personality; we’re individual, but united in love. When I look at you all, I see natural leaders. To everyone presence here today, I advise you to join the Leadership class, there is a famine among us. Not a famine of food, but of love, of faith of life and of leader. Do your part. Remember the hottest place in hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict. Thank you all and God bless.
