Type the sentence that answers the following questions:
a. What sentence is the topic sentence of the paragraph?

Following instruction is important because if you break them you will be lead to wrong ideas, answers, or actions, possibly getting you into trouble. It will also help you to better understand orders or laws, thus keeping you safe. There’s a reason why we are instructed to cross the street only when we are told to, it’s to keep us as safe as possible.
Fail to listen to the cross walk instructions and you could be hit by a car. Another less dramatic example is that of baking a cake. On the box we are given directions to follow to make a beautiful, edible cake. Fail to follow them and we won’t have a very good cake. We could set the wrong temperature to the oven causing a fire or add to much water, giving us a pancake. So no matter where the instructions are coming from we are wise to follow them to get the best out of whatever we may be doing.
