The Seven C's And The Power To Change An Individual's Life

The seven C's we will discuss in this book has the power to change an individual's life. We will take an in-depth look and discuss application of the seven C's. Without application, this will become another book on the shelf collecting dust. What good are the answers if they will never be applied to the questions? It is like being given the money to become debt free only to bury it in your backyard. It has benefited you zero.

In this chapter I would like to discussthe importance of application.

The applying of the information one has been given. It is important to to understand the difference between knowledge and wisdom.  Knowledge is information one has been given, wisdom is taking that information and utilizing it in your life. The world is full of informed people what the world is lacking in is wisdom.

I once worked with an individual who believed books and motivational literature was a waste, he would often say "That stuff is all common sense, I know all that stuff.

" What he was actually saying was that he was knowledgeable but lacking in wisdom. He had read and heard yet he had never applied it to his life.

I am here to tell each individual reading this book you must make a conscious decision to be the captain of your ship. You do not have to take the same course as everyone around you. Study those who have made the trip and arrived quicker, safer and on a more enjoyable path.

You must utilize the map and apply the same methods of the successful captains before you.

The title of this book will be quoted repeatedly. The facts are some do, some don't, the question is will you apply what you learn from this book? Some will, some will not. Will you take knowledge and make it wisdom?

Recently I had a conversation with someone who was telling me how lucky his friend was. He went on to tell me how the friend had been hired by a wonderful organization starting with great wages. The hours were perfect and the benefits package was above and beyond what his friend was expecting.  They treat him so well he went on to say. He ended by saying "I wish I was employed there." I asked him a reasonable question, Had he applied? He responded with "They would never hire me I am not that lucky." This was my response to my friend. Why do you expect your life to get better? You refuse to apply proven knowledge to your life, when you consistently refuse to summit success laws you have seen othersutilize, you will consistently experience failure. The reality is that we are fearful of change while at the same time fearful ofun-taken risk. What I am saying is we are fearful of consistency and change. We do not want this to be all there is yet we are too fearful to risk the unknown change may bring.

Let me explain. We have grown up with a set of rules. They have been acquired beginning with our parents at young ages then through our peers and applied in our adulthood.  These rules are ingrained in each of us as they have proven themselves over and over again through our lives. An example would be playing as a team member on a sports team. When a member does his or her part things work well. We learn to lean on our coworkers from this experience, when we make a mistake someone has our back,  there to pick up the slack. What about the golfer? What happens when he joins the workforce? He has a different set of rules, he is a one-man team. He is used to accepting and fixing his own mistakes. Can we learn from both of theseexperiences? We most certainly can. To do so, we must be willing to apply new experiences and rules.

Now let's look at the change we have been talking about. That new success rule that most are unwilling to apply. For conversation's sake let's say you have been approached with a potential opportunity. This opportunity will increase value and opportunity for yourself. First, you will have to change the fundamental beliefsthat you have applied to your life, the same beliefs that has become a staple in your lives. In order to advance you must to some degree change, you must apply a new set of staples on how you do things. It could be as simple as the hours you work or going from a team member to a leader. The majority of individuals will turn this down. Why? They are unwilling to apply new knowledge and increase their wisdom.

Do you remember when you were a child, always excited to experience new things? We were open to new ideas and were quick to try those new things with zero hesitation. We were like a young tree pliable, bendable and growing every day. As we have gotten older we have become brittle, afraid of the storms and changing seasons. When we become resistant to potential change, no growth takes place because we are afraid of the pruning, not realizing that the pruning makes way for new limbs to grow.

The pursuit of happiness and personal growth should be the goal we are after. It is very important that we first do an inventory of ourselves. We must ask ourselves this simple question, am I willing to apply knowledge not from just this book but anywhere to create wisdom to achieve the success I so greatly desire? The tested and proven laws we have in our lives are rarely the problem. If you are willing to change those laws for a better way, you will most certainly adjust the areas that are questionable.

I am blessed to work for a company that embraces change. They realize that embracing change when necessary could be the one consistent that leads to success.Nonetheless, Some DO! And Some DON'T! Which are you? Decide now before you read any further.
