Greece has been a member of the European Union since 1981. Being a member of the EU is both a blessing and a curse since it has numerous advantages to offer but also disadvantages. One of the many positive things of this membership is that the EU has enabled people to travel freely across national borders. In addition to this, it's easier for greek citizens to use qualifications in different member countries cosequently, they can find a job abroad. (D. EU countries are not into rivalry like they used to be in the past. One the other hand, For Greece, being a member of the EU has drawbacks as well.
