We can believe in the existence of God by reason alone. What is the difference between this belief in the existence of God and divine faith? The difference between the belief in the existence of God and divine faith is based on our need to find proof of his existence and going beyond natural reason. To know that God exists, we have to believe in him and sometimes that could be a very daunting task of us to do. Sometimes we feel that we need to see or hear God for us to believe in him however, it is not always that way because God doesn't always show himself to us. God truly is a mystery but for us to know that god exists, we have to believe in him.
To believe in that fact that he exists. St. Anselm states that "for I do not seek to understand so that I may believe; but I believe so that I may understand". If you try to understand God before you believe in him then you will have a rather hard time believing because God is really hard to understand. If you accept that fact that God is mysterious in nature then you will have a much easier time in believing in him.
We may not fully understand what God is trying to tell us sometimes but nevertheless he always answers our prayers even if it's not in the way we would have expected him to. God is always there and he will never leave us. Frankly, we are stuck with him whether we like it or not.
