Careers and jobs determine the level of success in your life. A career is an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person’s life and with opportunities for progress. A job is something you do simply to earn money. When People choose what career they want to pursue in they should consider their values. Such as, if they want to be independent or have a family. A career can affect your life financially, economically & physically, so it’s important that you choose the right one.

Four-Year colleges are an option for people after school. Four-Year colleges can open up a large variety of opportunities for high school graduates looking for outstanding careers. You can also experience and encounter some exciting experiences throughout your experience there also. But, college requires a ton of studying and dedication. In addition to, it can be a big weight on your pockets.

Another option is a Two-Year College. Two-Year colleges are a good choice for high school graduates who aren’t quite sure what they want their career to be exactly.

The good thing about a Two-Year college is that they give you an option to move on to a Four-Year college if you like. But, if you’re an exceptional student you may not feel as challenged and become bored. They also do not offer as many extensive course offerings.

Trade or vocational programs are also a great option. They help students who struggle in school by proving hands-on learning. They also offer internships that help students move into the workforce.

But they often make it difficult to find jobs outside of a specific field. Non-profits rarely guarantee high placement rates also.

The Military is also another option after high school. This is a good option for people who enjoy structure and likes physical activity. This can lead to a job or college-level education. But if you don’t take the structure and disciplinary actions well this would most definitely not be a good option for you. If you’re also lazy this would not be the job for you.

If schooling is not for you, the workforce is also a good option. But it’s also tough if you have no school experience for certain types of jobs. But, if you’re a consistent worker and show perseverance you may achieve your goal of being a CEO. Some people are naturals at certain things and may not need official school experience at all.
