The Last Words of my English Grandmother

The poem gives an account of the last minutes of the author's grandma. From the title of the poem, it can be presumed that the female in concern is currently dead and this poem was composed after the death of the woman. Some words like "... I'm sick of them and rolled her head away" reveals that the lady is currently dead.

The author produced a scene where we see the granny as being feeble and weak and "old and wrinkly and nearly blind".

She was also defenseless as she "lay and snored she awakening with anger in her tones to weep for food". She needs to have been bed ridden due to the fact that there are "unclean place and a glass of milk there" which has actually been utilized to serve her while she was in bed.
