Existence of engineering is everywhere, it can be seen in common home appliances to huge mega structures, from automobiles on roads to tools, machinery and other job oriented tasks. They are possible due to engineering technologies excellence. Many consider anything apart from nature or natural occurrence does not involve engineering but from primitive beings to humans such as us, our existence was created due to occurrence of genetic engineering of our DNA. Engineering being the pinnacle of advancement in the modern world, I grew a liking towards engineering and I pursued to study mechanical engineering being fundamental for many fields.

Growing up in erode a small city in Tamil Nadu, Southern India. I completed my schooling at The Indian Public School (TIPS), which excellence in education. Then I relocated to Andhra Pradesh, a neighboring state to complete my higher secondary in pursuit of quality education. To pursue my bachelors degree I preferred to study in Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.

Moreover its supportive and nurturing, yet rigorous and competitive environment which I was a part of during my undergraduate studies: the time-bound assignments, term papers and project reports with strict deadlines have taught me valuable lessons in time management and have helped me become more capable of handling high-pressure situations. During my formative years, the learning experience has instilled a keen sense of research and development. Consequently, I won 'Young Scientist' award for my work on studies on vapour absorption refrigeration systems which helps utilize waste heat exhaust from a four stroke diesel engine into energy for powering the vehicle thus improving power, fuel efficiency and reduced pollution.

The research helped me get an intership at Chandru Machine Tools Pvt Ltd, Vellore, which is a machine tools manufacturing company which also does welding and metal forming. During my internship I was exposed to various fields of studies from manufacturing, production, supply chain management and also quality testing.

Later I interned at Air India Engineering Service Ltd, Mumbai, India. It's a flight service and maintenance company where I got hands on experience to work on Jet Airways Airbus A330, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Boeing 777 flights which arrived for line maintenance and base maintenance and also I had the opportunity to study and examine a General Electric CF6 aircraft engine which I could relate to my engineering courses turbo machines, fluid mechanics and dynamic in depth also production and planning management, operations management and also time management: where the risk of delaying the repair and maintenance of an aircraft will lead to a huge loss for the company. My final year capstone project in studies on activated flux gas tungsten arc welding of austenitic stainless steel, under the guidance of Dr.Arivazhagan N, Dean for mechanical engineering department, the idea of the research was to achieve greater depth of penetration of weldment, produce less slag and higher precision rate by using various flux mixtures.

The purpose of the research was to use the best resulting flux mixture on basing of various parameters to be used for navel ship manufacturing, where the metal plates are thick and needs high precision during welding and also quicker manufacturing time. In addition to research, I have delinquently tried to obtain good GPA during each semesters. Other than a dip in grades, owing to my health condition at that time and an unfortunates bike accident, consequent semesters after the backlogs have yielded better grades and subsequently a good cumulative CGPA of 7.89 overall out of 10. Academics aside, I strongly advocate the importance of extracurricular activities in modeling the personality of an individual. As the senior marketing and management member of Team Jaabaz, an all terrain vehicle motor-sport team under BAJA SAE International. I was involved in devising the timeline for manufacturing and testing of the vehicle. We participated in BAJA SAE Tennessee, USA, where we landed 10th position in design event and also I majorly contributed business plan during the presentation static events and then I successfully completed the task given to me for procuring monetary sponsorship of CAD $4000 from Toyota kirloskar, Texvalley and other companies, which helped in getting raw materials and parts required for the all terrain vehicle.

During my seventh semester I was awarded as manager for Gravitas 2017, it is a tech fest which comprises of tech workshops, recent innovations, lectures from leading CEOs and also an Auto Expo 2.0 displaying super cars and bikes, organized in VIT by student team. As a manager for Special Guest Care (SGC) I was responsible in planning and organizing the travel rider, accommodation, food and hospitality for the special guests and during the event the I was able to organize to promote Toyota's new car arrival at Auto Expo 2.0. Later based on my performance during Gravitas'17 I was awarded organizer position for Riviera 2018, which is the 2nd most popular cultural fest in India conducted among universities where more than 0.2 million peoples participate to witness the cultural programs, celebrity guest and other events. As a organizer for Special Guest Care (SGC) I handled a budget of CAD $22540, due analytical thinking and from past experiences I was successfully in retaining a amount of CAD $3000 from the budget, from the experience I was able to gain organizational and team managing skills. My interaction with two amazing personalities was an eye opener which guided me to take up engineering management, Mr.Raj Sekar S, Managing Director of TexValley, which is the largest whole sale market for textile in India were traders Its a public-private partnership initiative under the Comprehensive Powerloom Cluster Develpoment Scheme of the ministry of Textiles.

The total project cost is estimated to be around CAD $3500000. I was first introduced to 'SWOT' analysis framework from Mr.Raj Sekar himself were he motivated to horn my managemental skill, Later my meeting with Mr.Raja N, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor covering Sales & Service functional areas, Toyota being the world's largest car manufactures and pioners of 'The Toyota Way' their uniqueness in strategic planning and management in a class apart. He shared his wisdom and knowledge gained from shear handwork and experience, he explained me about the importance and need of management in the field of engineering, and oursed me to take up engineering management in other to research and develop myself in order to put my thoughts into refined actions in an coorporate world.

To conclude, Canada being one among the countries which provide quality education and its multi-diverse and warm welcoming nature, I strongly believe a well-structured and diverse master’s program Master of Science in Engineering Management offered at University of Ottawa, Canada will help me in achieving my academic interest and goals. These courses will allow me to enhance my aptitude for the latest technologies and trends and equip me with greater in-depth knowledge for better understanding of analytical methods and problem solving abilities required for efficient and effective administration. I also look forward (something about university) enhance my engineering and organizational skills. It will be a great opportunity and privilege for me to work under the tutelage of experienced faculties and prepare myself to confidently tackle the professional challenges that I will face during my career in a corporate world.
