Categories: DutyEthicsNursing

As a family nurse practitioner, it's important to be active in a wide range of healthcare operations and activities regarding clinical and executive roles. This includes roles that vary regarding the degree of involvement in and influence over clinical practice. Therefore, as part of my professional role, it's significant to acknowledge that there exists an ethical conflict. Hence, its required of me to make an appropriate decision regarding the existing ethical dilemma

Therefore, since I don't recall having discussed Mrs. Smith with Stephanie nor do the other providers in practice and by extension nor do I recall making prescription to her, a logically sound course of action is to reexamine the patient again to be positive about her previous prescription.

Reexamining the health condition of the patient is essential as it enables a family nurse practitioner to provide a high and quality clinical service. Consequently, examining the patient is helpful as it guides a nurse practitioner regarding clinical reasoning and judgment concerning various modes of thinking strategies that are needed for high clinical practice to avoid probable adverse events and harm to the patient.
