Transportation is one of the important factors in the development or progress of the world. As transportation comes into innovation, the world as well as the people is the beneficiary of what these innovative ideas bring forth. Transportation as it comes into evolution it was said to have provided the people the easiness to travel from one place to another without being tough work. When transportation comes in different modes they were predicted to ease any burden for the transport means with the aid of the development with the transport parts and equipments.

Parts and equipments were important to make the transportation provide the good service and make it perform to its greatness. The improvement of its parts especially the engine is the most important idea that could provide high performance to the transport vehicle. The engine was designed to make the all the other parts of the transport vehicle to also perform well. Dealing with the engine, internal combustion engine is said to be one of the greatest inventions of mankind that helped to shape the world to what we know today.

Internal Combustion Engine

An engine that has the combustion of the fuel and oxidizer was processed in a place called combustion chamber is referred to as internal combustion engines. The process of combustion and oxidation was said to be exothermic that creates gases at high temperature and pressure. Reciprocating piston engine, Wankel engines and similar designs were said t how the term internal combustion engine was referred to (Bellis).

Engine may either burn the fuel inside or outside. Fuel burning that takes place outside is somewhat called as steam engine while engine that operates by fuel burning inside the engine was referred to as internal combustion engine.

Internal combustion engine comes in different type; diesel, hydrogen, methane or propane are some of it. Typically, there is adaptation requirement and only one type of fuel is needed to run engines (NASA). Two-Stroke and Four-Stroke Internal Combustion Engine Utility or recreational applications use the two-stroke type of internal combustion engine. These utility or recreational applications were seen as relatively small, reasonably priced and plain motors in the kind of chainsaws, motorcycles and jetskis.

The construction and operation of two-stroke engine is of the opposite means; construction of two-stroke engine is uncomplicated while operation is of complicated forms. With regards to the feature of two-stroke engine, the engines come into distinctiveness. Linking the air-fuel intake and the crankcase is what we call the reed valve. It is different from four-stroke in terms of the valves in the cylinder; two-stroke got no valves in the cylinder. The most commonly used type of internal combustion engine was the four-stroke internal combustion engine.

It is used by cars, trucks, generators and all other automotive and industrial purposes. Fuel or air is drawn from the first downward stroke of the four stroke combustion engine. The next stroke, upward stoke, compress and then being ignited. Then, third stoke will be made as expansion of exhaust gases took place. The last stroke make it possible for the gases evacuates the cylinder. In terms of efficiency, four-stroke cycle is more efficient than the two-stroke cycle. On the other hand, it requires considerably more moving parts and manufacturing expertise (Bellis).
