The Crystal Group is headquartered in Hong Kong and with the acquisition of the former Martin International becomes one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the world.

Since 2003 Crystal Martin has continued to evolve into a product development and sourcing organisation to augment its wholly owned manufacturing, and that of its extended Crystal family which gives us the global positioning to provide an effective clothing supply chain of high quality, competitively priced Intimate Apparel, Women’s wear, Menswear and Children’s wear.
We control our own factories in Sri Lanka together with the use of Crystal HQ controlled factories in China. We have invested and nurtured strong strategic relationships with manufacturing partners in India, China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

Logistic management is the control of supply chain function. Logistic management activities formally include inbound and out bound transportation management, supply/demand planning, shipping, order fulfilment and warehousing. The Logistic function also includes customer service sourcing & procurement , production planning and scheduling. Apart from that Logistic management is part of all levels of planning and execution. It is an integrated function. Which coordinate all logistic activities.
Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Execution (SCE) are the interactive and collaborative processes and tools that leverage strategic relationships within the supply chain through personal and electronic communications for the sharing of confidential and mission critical sales, forecasting, planning, purchasing and replenishment data with the ultimate objective of maximizing efficiencies, reducing costs and increasing profits by proactively insuring that the right product is delivered to the right place at the right time.
The company needs to improve logistics process to ensure that exports as well as imported inputs are shipped on time, cost effectively and reliably, and this is important to ensure sustained growth in existing areas of strength. Strengthening multimodal connections, save lead time, enhancing production capacity, Improving on time delivery would be crucial to improve the import/export process of the company. According to the improvements of import /export can reduce the lead time for fulfilling and order by up to 21 days, even if raw materials continue to be sourced from abroad. Identify the factors that are sourcing responsibility of cargo consolidation issue, maximum utilization of containers at the time of shipping analyze shipping requirements versus available quantities has to top priority because of the company recent initiative to reduce freight & handling cost of import raw materials
Objectives of the Project
Objective of this research effort to seek solution for the Import/Export cargo consolidation and develop the logistic capability with speedy distribution process and accuracy of transaction to having maximum utilization of containers and LCL moment in import/Export within the cost effective manner with today emphasize on meeting Production requirement and improving supply chain. Our goal is Getting the right product from the right Supplier at the right time.
