It is natural for people to fear powerful forces that are not known to them completely. The idea actually points out to the possibility that because of “fear” people would have lesser chances of doing things against the law. Witchcraft and ancestor worship are only among the widely-known supernatural beliefs among past human generations.

These particular beliefs naturally bring people to a thought that they are being watched and are constantly seen by the ones whom they worship.
