Spanish Field Trip

On our Spanish field trip I learned a lot about culture. The dances had movement and life. The costumes were beautiful and handsome. In Columbia, women wore pink dresses. They had flowers in their hair and beautiful necklaces. Men wore white and red clothing with hats and backpacks dangling from their sides.

I loved the dances and clothing. In Mexico, The ladies had Ribbons on their hair and colorful clothing.

The boys had on many colors as well and red tie-like objects around their necks.

They also had big hats. The women took the stage in the Mexican dance called Norento. They wore dresses containing the colors of white, yellow, and blue. They had white hair ties and gold or silver shoes.

As for the men, they wore brown rodeo jackets with a white shirt underneath. They also had on large hats and jeans as well as big belts and black belts. When we "went to" the Dominican Republic, the women had on short, red dresses with necklaces.

In Samba Brazil, women were dressed like birds (peacocks) and men wore yellow shirts.

In African Brazil, the dance's name was Berimbau. It was a martial arts dance performed by men. They dressed in white shirts with green words, and white sweatpants.

In Argentina, they do the tango. Women wore black dresses with silver necklaces and dancing shoes. The men wore all black. There was a lot of moving around. In Boleadoras, there was a man with a large drum.

Afterwards, there was a rock on a string used to catch animals. I loved the play because it was funny at the end. Thank you for taking us to see
