Online Result automation system is a standalone system. It aims to replace the existing website by providing an enhancement over their existing features. Thus, our project is a self contained database project for the Linux environment.

Due to the lack of time, we are unable to make it as interactive as possible.

To assist the user in understanding the product better and to assist them in better Utilization of the product and its features, we will be providing an interactive user interface (in HTML format). We also will be giving a link to the users where they can Know the Current activities of the university, information about the sports, Forth coming events of the University, Information regarding higher education like MTEC, MCA, PHD etc. we are providing a E-mail address of the software developers the user can send queries and suggestions regarding project.

ASSUMPTIONS AND DEPENDENCIES
We are assuming that the users will not use our product to download copyright and pornographic material. Also, we expect that the users not only use the software to download resources, they will also be uploading files and resources for being Downloaded by other users. We also assume that product users will not upload files Containing malicious software like viruses, worms and spy bots etc.

OVERVIEW OF DATA REQUIREMENTS
Student’s information is stored in mysql the authority is given to Administrator; he gives the permission to instructor to enter the department data and student information. The security is providing by giving password to each instructor.

GENERAL CONSTRAINTS, ASSUMPTIONS, DEPENDENCIES,
GUIDELINES

This product is a web based application meant for the Linux and Win-xp environment.Since it is web based, a major constraint on the performance will be due to the bandwidth of the client’s web connection. A faster bandwidth will result in faster downloads.Another major requirement is that the users also download data and files from the network. The Administrator will upload the student information through the network ,the whole system acts like centralized server client side should have efficient bandwidth to handle it. The product is Mother Server dependant, and so if due to some
reason the Mother Server crashes, the whole network will crash.

USER VIEW OF PRODUCT USE
The front page of the product contains college name, photo and also contains information about the college, Academics information, Brief information about sports, and calendar of events of the year. It contains the administrator login who have direct login to the data .Administrator must enter his name and password.

EXTERNAL INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS
USER INTERFACE:
When the user trying to access the information of the student or department which is not existing appropriate error information is displayed. At the time when administrator logins to the system user name and password is asked, if it is valid allowed him/her to proceed .If he/she is invalid user appropriate error message is displayed.

Logging

There will three form of logging provided by the system. First logging will be a New user to register, from which user will provide certain details about himself to Facilitate efficient configuration of the system. Second form of logging will be for existing user to log on to the system. Third form of logging will be for anonymous user to enter the system but with
certain restricted functions.

Searching
The user will be able to find the file he/she requires through the various files madeAvailable to the website by Administrators of all colleges to users. The system will show all the results available after search operation in a tabular form.

OTHER NON-FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

At any instance of time any number of users can access the website and download the information required.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

The responsibility of the material to be shared lies with administrators of each college and he will be responsible for the material which he uploads.
