Siblings is any two or more individuals living together who are related by birth, marriage or adoption (Levine & Munsch, 2018)
The main issue is about sibling bond and it’s possible impacts on individuals.
Article A talks about sibling bond and how it is unquestionably the strongest relationship one can have in their life. There is no other bond that is as strong as a siblings’ bond. This article touched on the positive influence of having siblings.
These positive influences include: -Siblings are our best teachers; role models. They teach us how to resolve conflicts and how not to, how to conduct friendships and when to walk away from them.-Longest lasting relationship; connection to their siblings will always come first, no matter what.-Siblings teaches us patience, acceptance and cautionary lessons. -Siblings teaches us to let go of negative experiences.
Article B talks about how parents should allow their children resolve their own fights and it touches on the appropriateness of parental interference.
This is because children who argued things out on their own did a better job, not just ending the fight, but also avoiding the same argument from occurring again.

Both article states sibling patch up better when there is no interference form parents. They learn to resolve problems on their own. ·Both articles mentioned the multiple benefits of having siblings and how it drives the development of the child.
Differences?One article talks about the positive influences of having sibling while the other article touches more on how parental involvement is essential to ensure positive bond amongst siblings.
This issue is crucialfor child development. This is because having siblings aids social-emotional development at an early age. Children learn problem solving of conflicts through communication and will pick up skills at an earlier age through a powerful learning environment.
Vygotsky believed that all learning and ideas begin in the social world.?Central to his theory, he believes that children learn through the process of social collaboration with someone who is more knowledgeable than they are.?The Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD)?According to vygotsky, this is what a child cannot do on his/her own but can with minimum help from those older/more knowledgeable/more skilled.?Therefore, this proves that the presence of siblings is beneficial in a way that they are able to facilitate one another in social development. Elder siblings will act as facilitator in handling conflicts and will thus enhance social skills for his/her other younger siblings.

Therefore, since we have more pros than cons of having a sibling, we agreethat sibling relationship isvery important in the development of a child.
Collaborating and involving the children’s sibling(s) in school events. For example involving sibling(s) during sports day.?Incorporating elements of sibling relationships in activities prepared for the children. For example, reading to them stories about brothers and sisters.
