Public Attitudes towards Donald Trump

When asked to describe President Donald J. Trump in one word, the public responded with “arrogant”, “idiotic”, “egotistical”, “smart”, “racist”, “great”, “narcissistic”, “strong”, “incompetent” and “ignorant”. While there are plenty of people who may in fact like Donald Trump, there are also just as many people who dislike him. Donald Trump’s views on topics such as immigration laws, sexual assault accusations and gun control have greatly influenced the way people feel about him.

Since his 2015 campaign, Donald Trump has been very open with his views on immigration laws.

During a meeting at the White House, Donald Trump did not in any way try to sugar coat or hide the way he feels about immigrants, specifically those from Mexico, and immigration laws. Making sure his thoughts on the subject would be heard loud and clear, during the meeting he said, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.

” He sees immigrants as people who come into America and bring nothing but badness into the United States.

These immigrants are seen not as people, but as animals and he wants to make sure that they absolutely stay out of the United States. Because of this very reason, Donald Trump promised to build a wall along the border of Mexico and the United States. He hasn’t exactly been specific enough about any of the numbers regarding height and length to know exactly how high and how long he envisions it, but he one hundred percent wants it to be one “heck of a wall”.

A wall that will be big enough and long enough to where people wouldn’t be able to get in. He has also stated that he will make sure to build a door so that the “good ones” can cross on over to the United States.

Originally, in 2015, Donald Trump stated that Mexico would be the ones paying for the wall and to “mark his words”. He stuck by these words for a while, but recently, on January 10, he claimed that he never said that Mexico would pay for the wall. In saying so, President Donald Trump isn’t a very reliable person. Because of his views on immigration, during his short time in office, he has completely wiped away the meaning of “Send me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” President Donald J. Trump has in every way gotten rid of the meaning of that very quote that is supposed to be the very representation of the United States of America.

While running for office in 2016, on October 7 of that same year, The Washington Post released an audio recording of Donald Trump from 2005. In this video, Trump is heard saying, “I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.” and “Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.” After this video was released, according to The Washington Post, “more than a dozen women came forward in the aftermath of the tape’s release with stories of the presidential candidate sexually assaulting them.” Many of Trump’s supporters immediately dismissed these accusations. Many of them, if not all, believed that the women who stepped forward were only doing it because Trump was up against Hillary Clinton.

They even went as far as to create and post absurd memes on social media about how Trump allegedly had never been accused of sexual assault up until his campaign against Hillary Clinton. While this was going on, Anderson Cooper from CNN interviewed Donald Trump. During the interview, Cooper asked Trump whether or not he had done any of the things that were said and Trump denied it and say that it was only “locker room talk” and that he had never groped or touched a women without their consent. He then went on to say, “No one has more respect for women than I do.” After this interview was released, more women stepped up and spoke out against Donald Trump.
