When I think of President Trump, the phrase fence rider comes to mind. Fence rider as defined in the urban dictionary is (“Someone who will say anything to avoid rocking the boat. They will go against their own morals and standards to make statements to please others. They shouldn’t be trusted and confiding in them isn’t a good idea. They are liked by many due to the fact they always have good things to say, but are not trusted by the smart ones who have figured them out.
Fence riders are phony butt kissers. We all know a few, most are politicians”). To me, this definition sums trump up pretty good if I must say so myself. Trump has changed his mind on several different views throughout the years, but today I will focus on his views on abortions, war, and the impeachment issues. I’m not a fan of President Trump, but I will try to not be bias, but whendealig with president Trump that’s going to be hard.
When it comes to abortions, women have had to fight this issue for centuries. During the 1800’s abortion where widely used amongst the women at that time. They were usually performed by midwives. Women were able to get abortion until the “quick” are pretty much until they felt the baby move, at that point is was deemed to late. The doctors at that time wanted to monopolized on the situation by getting abortions to become illegal, to cut out the midwives all together.
Thank god for Roe VS Wade in 1973, which gave women the right back to women to choose. Now in present day you have states like Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi are trying to ban abortions if a heartbeat is heard. The problem with this is that many women don’t even know there pregnant until weeks 8 and up, which would mean that at 6 weeks when the baby heart starts beating, they want be able to have an abortion. The funny thing is, that President Trump was once Pro Choice, but Pro Choice doesn’t work for the republican party, so he’s Pro Life and in favor of banning abortions. He even had the audacity to say he wanted to be penalized for having an abortion after a heartbeat was heard, but after receiving backlash, he changed his statement once again saying, (“that only the doctor or practitioner should be punished not the women.”).
