1. The Black Nazarene
* A life-sized statue of Christ is carried through town by barefooted men yelling, "Viva Señor, while huge crowd tries to touch the statue. * January 9 at Quiapo Church in Manila
2. Sinulog

8. Pahiyas Festival
* Believed to be one of the Philippines' most extravagant and most colorful, is held in honor of San Isidro Labrador and is the farmers' thanksgiving for a rich and bountiful harvest.

9. Santa Cruzan /Flores de Mayo

10. Pintados festival

* Recalls Pre-Spanish history of the native Leytenos from wars, epics and folk religions. The most expected aspect of the Pintados festival are the festive dancers, painted from head to toe with designs that look like armor to resemble the tattooed warriors of old. 11. Kadayawan Festival
